Colleen Harrison

Colleen is a first-generation Aggie and a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 2015. During her time at A&M, she cultivated a deep sense of pride and tradition, which shaped her approach to both academic and professional pursuits. Following her passion for storytelling and communication, Colleen continued her education at Texas Tech University, where she earned a Master’s in Creative Writing in 2017. This background in creative writing helped her develop a keen ability to analyze complex narratives, a skill that would later prove invaluable in her legal career. 

After completing her graduate studies, Colleen embarked on a four-year journey in the Oil & Gas Industry, where she gained firsthand experience in one of the most critical sectors of the Texas economy. Her work exposed her to the legal intricacies and regulatory frameworks that govern the industry, sparking her interest in law and laying the foundation for her future career as an attorney. 

Driven by a deep desire to serve others and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Colleen decided to follow her calling and enrolled at South Texas College of Law (STCL). During her time at STCL, she distinguished herself both academically and through her extracurricular involvement. In her first year, she earned a CALI Award in Legal Writing, a prestigious recognition for outstanding academic performance. Colleen’s passion for legal writing and advocacy quickly led her to join STCL’s renowned advocacy program, where she served as a brief writer for the moot court team. Her dedication to honing her legal research and writing skills was recognized when she earned membership in the National Order of Scribes, an honor reserved for the top legal writers in the nation.
